Please note: No events are currently scheduled, while we focus on our new website, preparing for work in Haiti and other important priorities to serve you better. Events below were in 2012.

Many of our events are in New York City, including those below. More events will be scheduled this summer.

Thursday June 28, 3-5 pm and Friday May 18, 4 - 6 pm. Meet Hearts & Minds volunteers and others from all over the world, enjoy a wide range of cuisines.
     If possible, please let us know in advance what you'd like to bring. We have a microwave and oven that can be used to warm your dish if you arrive at our office before start time. Those also going to the museum on May 18 (more just below), can temporarily leave their leftover food, pots or dishes at our office after the picnic

You can meet us before start time at the Hearts & Minds office or go directly to our picnic spot as shown in this map. In case of rain, it'll be at Hearts & Minds' office. You're welcome to call 1-917-428-1061 for more info.

Cultural events
Museum of Natural History, 82nd and Fifth Avenue, New York, NY
Monday June 25, 2 - 4 pm
Meet us in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda, up the stairs to the main Central Park West entrance. Directions and a photo of this entrance is at: http://www.amnh.org/visitors/. Look for us inside by the barosaurus, the world's tallest freestanding mount of a dinosaur skeleton. More info on museum exhibits at http://www.amnh.org/exhibitions/

Friday May 18, 7:30 - 9 pm

The following programs are at the Hearts & Minds' office:

Saturday, March 31, 11 am - 4 pm with Columbia Community Outreach with students Columbia College, teaching and learning about global poverty, updating our www.heartsandminds.org  website, creating art and writing letters to their elected representatives.

Sunday, April 22, 12 - 3 pm with Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst at at the Hearts & Minds' office

Monday and Tuesday December 10 -11, both days 1-5 pm, each day with 25 college students from University of Mississippi.

Food Collection for Our Local Food Bank
In partnership with others, we're collecting food from customers at nearby supermarkets for use in the food bank run from our building.
