       "The primary aims of the Allies Against Asthma program are: to develop a sustainable strategy for asthma control within communities; to enhance the quality of life of children with asthma; and to reduce hospital admissions, emergency room visits, and number of missed school days by children with asthma."
      What I like about the website is that it gives information about locating coalitions of Allies against Asthma in about every state to promise to address asthma in near communities. It also shows funding organizations that you can participate in. -DJ CR

       The organization website provides adequate information about all types asthma. It has a collection of essays and articles and provides information about how to contact a local allergist. -PT

       "The American Lung Association (ALA) is the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States, with a National Office and constituent and affiliate associations around the country. Founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis, ALA today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health. ALA is funded by contributions from the public, along with gifts and grants from corporations, foundations and government agencies. ALA achieves its many successes through the work of thousands of committed volunteers and staff." 
       The American Lung Association has a very interesting website, filled with articles and other forms of information regarding all forms of lung disease. With several programs to choose from and volunteering opportunities, ALA has proved to be a very beneficial program with a well developed website. It is also available in Spanish. -PT
       The website also provides current events articles on what's going on in the tobacco industry and its ongoing class action lawsuits. -KJG
       Great resource for statistical data for research on lung disease
       This website is a wonderful indicator of current asthma events.  It also is a good resource for living with the disease. -JRW 
Call or visit website for information and referrals to local lung associations with wide range of services for lung cancer, smoking cessation, asthma and environmental health. 
       Website also has 160 articles on wide range of lung issues.
       Has great breaking news about asthma that may be to your interest and it even helps you find the nearest "asthma walk" near you. -DJ

       "Asthma Action America® is a national asthma education program supported by 21 leading organizations, including the Respiratory Institute established by GlaxoSmithKline, working together to improve healthcare and the understanding and management of asthma in the United States. The goal of Asthma Action America is to increase awareness of asthma and effective asthma management."
       Has fantastic information to aid an asthmatic person with controlling his/her asthma. Also helps people realize whether or not they suffer from asthma by taking a simple Asthma Control Test. -DJ

       The AAFA website is clearly displayed. It has links to information about the program, asthma, and allergies. It also allows you to e-mail an allergist for more personal information. (PT)
